The Maker
Meet Ty.

01The Story
The name started as a family joke.
In Ty’s family, “Ty Built” became a way of describing how much work he puts into things. He’d still be making adjustments or finishing a detail when someone else might have called it done. The family teased him about it, and the name stuck.
That’s the approach he brings to his woodwork today. He wants each piece to fit the space, work the way it should and be something he’s happy to put his name on.
-
Choosing the materials
Ty uses real wood, not MDF or particleboard. He’ll talk you through the materials for your project so you know what you’re getting.
-
Making it fit your home
The size of the room and how you’ll use the piece help shape the design. Those details matter as much as how it looks.
-
Paying attention to the inside
Ty pays attention to the parts you don’t see at first, including the inside of a drawer or storage chest.
-
Keeping it personal
It’s a small shop, and Ty takes on one project at a time. You’ll be talking with the person who’s doing the building.
There’s built well. Then there’s Ty Built. The family phrase that became the name
